Picking the Best Colored Pens for Taking Notes

Whether you’re a student, have a job, or are a blogger, notes are an essential part of your success.

While writing your notes is important, using the notes later is even more important!

If you’re rapidly writing things down, a pop of color to underline a key term, or writing a section in a different color, or using colors on diagrams can be a good help for being able to make sense of your notes later.

That’s why the best colored pens for taking notes are so important.

Let’s take a closer look at what’s important for picking a pen for note taking.

Picking the Best Colored Pens for Taking Notes

There are many things to think about when you’re looking for note taking pens.

First is the paper you will be writing on.  Is it thick or thin?  Are you writing on both sides?  Are you worried about bleeding through pages?  Luckily you don’t have to worry too much, because you won’t find any pens that bleed in this list.

Next is the type of pen you are using.  There are many different types of pens, and they all have different qualities.

The biggest thing to consider is the ink in the pen.  Gel pens, also called rollerball pens use a water based ink, while ballpoint pens use oil based ink.  Fountain pens use water based ink to.

If you like to snack or enjoy a drink while you write notes or review them, be careful with water based inks!  They will run ruining all of your hard work if you get any sort of liquid on them.

Ballpoint pens won’t run when water hits them.

Finally is the type of line you want to make.  Do you like thick lines, thin lines, or a combination in between?  Pay attention to the point of the pen!

Now, lets take a look at some of the best colored pens for notes.
