I have been a loyal Hobonichi user for years and years at this point. Whether I choose to use the Hobonichi Techo or the Hobonichi Techo Cousin, I always have one to plan out almost everything in.
Today I want to to share one must have hack for Hobonichi users everywhere.
Did you know a piece of A5 paper is the perfect addition to your Hobonichi planner for some extra pages?
Here’s my favorite hack for my Hobonichi Tehco.
I like to put this in a monthly page often, if I am trying to do some habit tracking during the course of the month.
Just look at this Hobonichi Techo:
As you can see, I have a Rhodia A5 pad under it, and a pice of the Rhodia A5 paper folded in half as well.
It is a perfect fit to get some additional pages into your Hobonichi Techo! I like to connect my Rhoida paper to my Hobonichi with some Washi Tape.
Now, let’s take a look at my Hobonichi Techo Cousin, which is my current planner. It is actually A5 size, so a piece of Rhodia paper fits in perfectly.
I find myself using this hack if I am working on something that spans multiple days, or if I want to add a habit tracker over the course of a month.
With the Hobonichi Cousin, I often just leave the paper between the pages, or put it in one of my cover’s many pockets.
If you love the paper in your Hobonichi planner (which is called Tomoe River paper by the way), you will also love Rhodia paper.
While it is thicker than Tomoe River paper, it writes just as smoothly.
Don’t miss our favorite pens for Hobonichi planners, because they work great with Rhodia paper too!
The Rhodia A5 notepads are also called Rhodia Number 16, and they come in a bunch of different formats:
I like to use either the Grid or Dot pads when I add to my Hobonichi.
If you do choose to use a grid pad, remember that the Hobonihci uses a 4 millimeter grid, and the Rhodia pads (and most other grid papers) use a 5 millimeter grid, so it is not exactly the same size.
Here’s an example of a couple of other sheets I added to a Hobonichi Techo with the Rhodia dot paper.
This simple hack can make you even more productive with your Hobonichi planner!
When it comes to your bullet journal, having the best pens is one of the…
